The Children’s University!
Twelve Y5 spent last Saturday at Leeds
Trinity University doing a Nature Project
as part of their degree that they are
studying for. Mr Wilkinson and Miss
Scruton made the event happen as they
worked with the children pond dipping
and ‘bug finding’. It was a glorious,
wonderful bright sunny day. The
children had the most amazing time. We
had four children graduate last year, so
wee look forward to twelve more
children next week.

The children had a wonderful visit
yesterday by the Ultinate X Tables
Rock God – Baz Winter. The founder
and creator of the children’s
favourite TTRockstars.

On Wed July 5th Parklands and
Leeds East will be hosting the North
of England XTables Rock Wrangle
which will see children from all over
the North of England battle to be
the X Table God. Three Parklands
children at least will have the
chance to have a ‘helicopter ride’ as
a reward. Amazing things happen
for our wonderful children here at
our fantastic school. So keep
practicing.

How lovely to see our fab MP Richard Burgon in school on Monday. He had a
lovely time talking with our Writers of the Week and he adored our new banner.
Many thanks to TD Direct for providing 13 volunteers to work around. We look
forward to hosting 120 volunteers on May 12th for Give and Gain Day.
