Coach Mark Bauder announced that seniors Patrick Mertens and Colby Starkebaum were selected to the 2008 All-Tri-Valley Conference Team. Receiving Honorable Mention All-Conference were seniors Jerry Kinzie, Cody Kloberdanz, Mark Lieber and Jacob Richards. Varsity letter winners were: First year - Senior Robbie Helvie; junior J.J. Gonzales; sophomores Kevin Byczkowski, Andrew Holstein, Dalton Reinhardt, Garrett Schumacher, Josh Stieb and Jordan Suter and freshman Xavier Talton. Second year - Seniors Ethan Fritzler and Weston Vorderberg; juniors Phillip Chavez and Juan Renteria and sophomores Jake Baker, Alex Beardsley, Morgan Lulf (manager), Aaron Reyes, Jace Rhodes and Ryan Wagner. What a great job they did this year. “We have had a lot of great seasons because of the hard work and dedication of our assistant coaches.” The Rams will graduate a senior class that’s second to none, including Rinaldo, Smart, Scotty Shahid, Mitchell Harryman, Brandon Martinez, John Barker, Lance Albrandt, Chase Carver and Kevin Jones. In their four years those seniors were members of two state championship teams (2005 and 2007), runners-up this season and advanced to the quarterfinal of the 8-man state playoffs in 2006 while posing an overall 48-3 mark. “This is a great group of kids and they should be proud of what they accomplished,” Barber pointed out. The Rams will return juniors Barber, DeSanti, Nathan Smock, Andrew Burton, D.J. Lindenthal, Evan Albrandt, Ty Gibson, Tyson Urrutia, Boston Hastings, Joel Trout and Austin Fritzler. Sophomores are Tuff Gibson, Mike Hart, Ty Lebsock, Kyle Kasper and Cody Propst.
