The ARS, Cereal Crops Research Unitis seeking a permanent, full-time Research Molecular Biologist
(Plants)/Research Plant Molecular Geneticist. The mission of this unit is to conduct research
leading to the improvement of malting quality of barley, nutritional quality of barley, and to develop
new technologies for evaluating quality of barley. The incumbent will conduct research to improve
the quality of barley for malting and brewing; and on the adaptation of barley to abiotic stress. This
research will lead to improved barley cultivars with higher value for the producer, processor and
consumer. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. U.S.Citizenshipis
