Mondelēz International Procurement Team Wins World Procurement Award for Transformation
On May 18th over 900 Procurement executives gathered in London for the function’s most celebrated
annual awards ceremony, the World Procurement Awards.
The event brought together a broad spectrum of companies from food to non-food, from public to
private and from local to global, including the likes of Mars, Ferrero, IBM, Microsoft, GSK, Roche,
Johnson & Johnson, Volvo, and many others. The Procurement Leaders organization has over 24,000
members and this year’s World Procurement Awards included 17 categories, 5 of which also had a
“Highly Commended” award for companies coming in a VERY close 2nd place.
MDLZ Procurement was super proud to be shortlisted in 4 categories - Best Team, Best Transformation,
Best External Collaboration and Best Cross-Functional Collaboration – and were blown away when our
Procurement Transformation won the “Highly Commended” award for Best Transformation!
We collected the award on behalf of not only the entire Procurement team that are driving our
transformation, but also our cross-functional partners…together we are becoming the BEST!
We would also like to congratulate the team that won first prize for Best Transformation, “City of Gold
Coast” (Australian, Public Sector). We will look to learn from them and return even stronger next year.
