BIDDER, in compliance with the Advertisement for Bids for the construction of this
project, having examined Specifications with related documents and the site of the
proposed work, and being familiar with all of the conditions surrounding the construction
of the proposed project, including the availability of materials and labor, hereby proposes
to furnish all labor, materials and supplies, and to construct the project in accordance with
the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, within the time set forth therein, and at the price(s)
stated below. This price(s) is to cover all expenses including overhead and profit
incurred in performing the Work required under the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, of
which this proposal is a part.
Bids will be received at Stone Mountain City Hall until __May 28, 2015 at 3:00pm___
any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered by the
City. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at Time, Date and Location above. All
bids will be evaluated by the City and the work will be awarded, if it is awarded, within
thirty days of the bid opening.
The bidder will be required to furnish the City with evidence of liability insurance and
workman’s compensation insurance.
Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the City. Each
sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside with Project
Name and Project Number. If a bid is forwarded by the United States Postal Service, the
sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the
attention of the City at the address shown above.

The City may make any investigations deemed necessary to determine Bidder’s
Ability to perform the work and Bidder shall furnish all information and data
requested by the City. The City reserves right to reject any bid from any bidder
that the City consider not property qualified to carry out contract obligations or
able to satisfactorily complete the work on schedule. City reserves right to reject
any are all bids
Contractor shall provide all barricades and signage per the MUTCD and take
Necessary steps to protect the general public and guard against property damage
The City will retain 10% of the amount due the contractor (calculated monthly).
Retainage may be invoiced and will be paid as part of the final invoice submitted
after the project has been completed and accepted.
Questions received less than two (2) business days prior to date for opening

construction time of FORTY-FIVE (45) consecutive calendar days of the date specified in this
“Notice to Proceed”.

BIDDER agrees to perform all of the construction of the project complete with appurtenances and
accessory work described in the Specifications and shown on the Drawings and Scope of Work
for the above scheduled price(s).
The above scheduled price(s) shall include all labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal,
overhead, profit, insurance, etc., to cover the finished work of the several kinds called for.
BIDDER agrees that his bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of SIXTY (60)
calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract performance bond and
Payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid.
