Roles at BURN FM
Mainstream show ([email protected]): For pairs or groups interested in hosting a show
musically inclined towards popular/chart music. Scheduled between 10am-6pm Mon-Sun.
Primetime Show ([email protected]): Mainstream shows broadcasting at primetime slots i.e.
10am-12pm. These will be the most important shows on the station and the most listened to, so production
value will be high.
Specialist show ([email protected]): For pairs or groups interested in hosting a show centered on
a specialist interest such as a specific music genre, spoken word or film review etc. Scheduled between
6pm and 11pm Mon-Fri, 6pm-9pm Sat and 10am-11pm Sun.
Writer / Journalist: A large part of Burn FM is creating online content and creating reports for on air
distribution. We have large teams for Music ([email protected]), Sport ([email protected]), News
and Arts and Culture ([email protected]), which primarily receive free press passes to and
review all manner of sporting event/concerts in Birmingham and across the UK, including summer music
festivals. Joining whichever team most interests you and getting involved is a great way to build up your CV
if you are interested in any sort of career in media.
