imagined, invented and designed– at Technodomus 2012, 3rd International Expo of
Wood Technology for the Furnishing and Construction Industry taking place from 20 to 24
April in Rimini.
Dozens of objects, goods and products that have marked the past, present and future
of"Made in Italy" design, proposed by the Scm Group on its stand to demonstrate a
know-how that has no boundaries. The intention of the group is to offer increasingly
sophisticated technologies, capable of giving life to even the most courageous ideas.
Because behind the pencil of a designer are the tools which turn what he has imagined
into reality. Such as the innovative 6-axis interpolating technology in the brand new
OIKOS machining centre by Routech which is the signature of the SCM Group
campaign for Technodomus, “We have added an axis for perfection”.
TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN
On the large Scm Group stand at Technodomus – over 7 thousand square metres in
which over 80 machines will be exhibited and where 5 thousand visitors from 50
countries worldwide are expected – there will be plenty of space to affirm the strong
bond that links the Rimini group with design. A bond also testified at the recent Salone del
Mobile in Milan, where SCM Group was a partner in special events dedicated to the new
“Cambiano” concept car by Pininfarina or in the presentation of Riva 1920, products
behind which there is the technology of the group's 5- or 6-axis machining centres. Or in
the exhibition set up in the heart of the Milan event dedicated to furniture and furnishings
made with SCM brand machines for carpentry shops, used to give new functions to the
spent barrels in which San Patrignano wines are born.

Technodomus 2012 is not only a place to find new technological solutions but also ideas,

Professor Pappagallo will make his debut in Rimini, giving a representation of what will
be the new relationship which, according to SCM Group, must exist between technology
and user, based on maximum simplicity. This special software lets anyone execute a
machining program, even without specific knowledge: just follow the “Professor's”
instructions to be at ease when machining a panel or diagnosing a problem, a competent
work partner, supporting the operator 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
