Kegging Instructions
Step 1: Sanitize the Keg. Use about 1-2 gallons of hot water and 1-2 tbspns of sanitizer. Mix
water and sanitizer. Close the lid and shake. Run some Co2 into the keg (20 psi) and dispense
through the liquid out line. Do this until just gas is coming out. Give it one quick rinse. Make
sure there aren't any cleaning particles left. Sanitize your siphon as well.
Step 2: Siphon the beer into the keg. Make sure it’s a steady, even flow and the tube is
touching the bottom of the Keg. Don’t let the beer splash in.
Step 3: Close the lid and attach the Co2 connector in. Screw the screw in until the dial is at 30
psi. Open the line as the gas is coming into the keg shake the keg. Do this until you don't hear
any more gas coming into the keg. 3-5 minutes. Disconnect the Co2 and put keg in the fridge.
Step 4: 12 hours later. Purge the gas inside by pulling the ring on top of the keg. Connect the
Co2 again and fill with gas again (30 psi) shake until you hear no more gas. Disconnect the Co2
and put keg in the fridge.
Step 5: 12 hours later. Purge the gas again and connect the Co2. Set to 12 psi and fill without
shaking.
Step 6: Connect the liquid line and drink up. The first day will have heavy foam and some
sediment. It’s a good idea to just fill the first 1-2 pints and dump them.
You only have to reconnect the Co2 when the pour becomes very weak. Just connect the Co2,
set to 12 psi and fill without shaking.
