Class Search in SIS

Using Class Search
Navigate to Main Menu  Self Service  Class Search / Browse Catalog  Class Search
Enter the information pictured below. You may enter as much criteria as need in order to filter the class return as much
as possible. Once you enter the desired criteria, press Search.

After pressing Search, your results will be returned. To view more information about a particular class, click the Class
Number.

To Search by Mode of Instruction or Course Attribute
Search by Mode of Instruction
Suppose you want to look for English class which are online only. You can do this by setting the Mode of Instruction to
Online w/E-Rate (that is the online mode DCC uses) and the Subject to ENG. Then press Search.
In this example, four English classes are offered online. You can use the Mode of Instruction option to search for Hybrid,
In Person, Satellite, etc.
Search by Course Attribute
In the previous example, three MTH 163 classes were returned. Suppose only Open Education Resources classes are
preferable. To search for Open Education Resources classes, you must select “Open Education Resources” from Course
Attribute and one of the selections from the Course Attribute Value drop down menu. Then press Search.
Note: Currently, only Open Education Resource class may be search for by using Course Attribute.
Using Class Search
This time only two MTH 163 classes are returned. Once you click on one of the class numbers, you will see where it is
indicated that these classes are Open Education Resource classes.
Using Class Search
You may use any combination of search criteria you wish in order to really narrow the class search down. In addition,
there is Additional Search Criteria you may use. Expand the Additional Search Criteria by clicking the Arrow next to
Additional Search Criteria.
