economy considerations in project/programme
formulation
• Contribute to knowledge generation through
sharing own views and experiences
Greening an Action Document on
private sector development
(or on a similar theme)
Aims of the exercise
 To identify and discuss:
o Key aspects to be considered in the formulation of a
private sector development action that aims to support
the transition to an inclusive green economy
o Possible adjustments to existing private sector
development actions with a view to promoting inclusive
green economy
The Approach
• 3-4 groups of max 8 people
• A single Action Document (real, not fictional)
• Incorporate learnings from all preceding IGE
modules
• Address all aspects of an inclusive green
economy, i.e. not only environmental aspects
The Structure
• 5 minutes for all participants to understand the exercise
• 10 minutes for participants to ‘refresh’ their memory of the AD
• 15 minutes for first group discussion; Brainstorm on:
 (1) measures/actions at all steps
 (2) key actors and change agents at each level
 (3) possible barriers and challenges to IGE
• 10 min plenary debate on first group discussion outcome
• 30 min second group discussion on formulating suggestions for
better alignment with IGE including Reporting on Feedback form
• 20 min Presentation of results and brief discussion
