How to Make a Voki
1. Go to www.voki.com, and click the big orange “Get Started”
button.
2. Scroll down, and click “Get Voki FREE!”
3. In the registration window that pops up, put in your information
and then click “Sign Up.”
4. Click “Close,” then go log into the email you used in registration.
5. When you get into your email, you should have one from “Voki
Notifications.” Open that email and click the link under the line
“Welcome to Voki. To activate your Voki account, click on the
following link, or paste it into your browser.” If it is not clickable,
copy and paste it in your browser.
6. You should now have a login page. Log in with the email and
password you used in registration. Then click “Login.”
7. Click “Create A New Voki.”
8. Here you will create an avatar for your Voki. Click the head icon
under “Customize your Character.”
Here you can choose a base character. There are tons to choose
from, you can first choose a category by clicking the arrows and
then clicking the category you want.
After you choose a category, you can choose the gender below
that, and then an avatar below that.
Click each of the icons next to the head icon to choose a hair style,
a mouth, and facial hair for your Voki.
9. After you have chosen all the elements of your Voki’s head, you
can then move on to clothing. Click the “Clothing” tab next to the
“Head” tab.
Here you can click each of the icons below “Clothing” to choose an
outfit and headgear.
10. Click the “Bling” tab next to the “Clothing” tab.
Here you can choose eyewear, jewelry, and other accessories.
11. Once you have finished customizing your character, you can look
below the Voki head and change some of the colors on your Voki.
Click the part you want to change the color of in the bar on the left,
and then choose the color.
12. On the “Tweak” tab, you can adjust the size of different aspects of
your Voki.
When you are finished changing the appearance of your Voki, click
“Done.”
13. Under “Give it a Voice,” you can choose from 4 options to add a
voice to your Voki.
Clicking the phone icon will give you a phone number to call and
passcode to put in so that you can call in a recording.
Clicking the microphone icon will give you the option to record for
your Voki. If you get a window like the one below, click “Allow,” and
then “Close.” Now you can record by clicking “Record,” and when
you are finished clicking “Stop.” Then click the play button to listen,
and then “Save” to save it.

If you have already recorded an audio file, you can click the file
button to upload it and apply it to your Voki.
When you are finished giving your Voki a voice, click “Done.”
14. Next you can choose a background for your Voki by clicking
“Backgrounds.”
Here you can choose a background from the offered ones, or you can
upload your own by clicking the file button next to the tree.
When you are finished, click “Done.”
15. When you click on “Players,” you can choose the color for the
frame and play button.

When you are finished, click “Done.”
16. When you have finished creating your Voki, click “Publish.”
17. Give your Voki a title, then click “Save.”
18. When it has finished loading, click the “Close” button.
19. Here you can choose a size for your Voki by clicking the drop
down menu provided:
To turn in your Voki: You can email it to a friend by clicking the
