Rules:
1. Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 28th. They will be sold until
Friday, April 15th, unless we sell all 500 tickets before April 15th.
Ticket purchases are final-no refunds. We will sell 500 tickets.
When they are gone, no more will be sold.
2. NEW THIS YEAR: All ticket sales will be online. Please see the
attached sheet for instructions on purchasing your tickets.
You have to have a credit or debit card.
3. To buy a ticket, follow the instructions on the attached sheet.
Tickets will be purchased online this year. Please see Ms. C. Smith
if you have any problems.
4. Also, you must turn in this form with the appropriate signatures to
Ms. C. Smith in room L152. If you do not turn in your signed form
you will not be allowed to enter the prom and no refunds will be
issued.
5. Tickets are $50.00 per ticket during Week 1 and will go up by
$10 every week. Each person who attends the prom must have
his/her own ticket. Your ticket (with matching information) with a
valid photo ID must be presented at the door. No tickets will be
sold at the prom. Once you leave the prom you may not re-enter.
6. NEW THIS YEAR: You can use your cell phone as your ticket. You
will receive instructions on how to do this when you purchase your
tickets online. To be safe, you can also print the confirmation form
and bring it with you to the prom.
7. Only Juniors and Seniors at Cordova High School may buy ticketsmaximum of two per person. Others may attend as guests/dates
with a ticket.
8. All Cordova High School/Shelby County Schools policies apply to
the prom. This is a school function. Suspended/expelled
students cannot attend.
9. This is a formal function. Ladies are to wear appropriate, tasteful
dresses that come to the knee.
a. You can wear a two-piece dress as long as it is tasteful. Also,
cut-out sections of the dress cannot be too revealing or
vulgar. Please refrain from dresses the show any private
areas of your body. You will not be allowed to enter the prom
if there is a dress code violation. No refunds will be given.
See someone ahead of time if you have a question.
b. Backless dresses are allowed as long as they cover the small
of the back.
c. Strapless dresses are allowed as long as they do not show
excessive cleavage.
Please Note: If you show up at the Prom in an inappropriate dress,
you will not be allowed to enter the Prom. Please ask Mrs. Brasher or
Ms. C. Smith if you are confused about your dress. If in doubt, you
probably should choose another dress.
10.
Men are to wear tuxedos or suits (matching coat and pants)
with dress shirts and ties. The following are not allowed:
a. Shorts
b. Denim
c. Sport coats
d. Khakis/cargo pants
e. Short sleeve shirts
f. Excessively baggy or tight clothing
g. Profane/obscene/vulgar clothing or accessories
We are not requiring students to get their attire checked this year;
however, if you have a concern about whether your outfit will be
allowed, see Mrs. Brasher.
If you are refused admittance because of your outfit, you will not be
allowed to adjust/augment that outfit to gain admittance. Adding a
shawl, jacket, cover-up, or material to an unacceptable outfit is not
allowed. Returning with a new outfit that is within the guidelines is
the only way you will be admitted.
11.
No food or drinks. Refreshments will be provided.
12.
Dates from other high schools are allowed as long as they
are nineteen years old or younger. They must show photo ID and
abide by the rules for dress and behavior.
