The New Year 2016 has come together with one of its main events - International
Conference “Managing risks to coastal regions and communities in a changing
world”! We remind you that the Conference will take place in August 22-27, 2016
in St. Petersburg. More details you can find on the official conference website:

We congratulate all of you with past holidays and remind you that deadline for
abstract submission is approaching. We are sending this letter with important
changes and additions made for your convenience.

According to numerous requests and due to the long Christmas and New
Year holidays (especially in Russia!) and our new opportunities we are extending
the important deadlines for the conference. New deadlines are:
Deadline for submission of abstracts
Notification on the results of abstracts review
“Early bird” fee payment deadline
Deadline for paper submission to the Conference Fullsize Proceedings
Deadline for regular fee payment

After you select the dates, please, choose the item "CONFERENCE RATE" and
then select one of the two locations:
- AZIMUT Hotel Saint-Petersburg;
- Fontanka Hotel (a low-cost option, 5-minute walk from AZIMUT Hotel St.
Petersburg).
After selecting the hotel you can book the room. Please note that the period of
reduced price booking for the conference participants is August 21 - September 1,
2016. We remind you that the hotel booking and payment is made by participants.

We remind you that all full-text papers of the Conference will be indexed in
Scopus and Web of Science and in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
They also will be assigned a DOI. In addition, there will be an opportunity to
publish selected papers in the special editions of such scientific journals as
"Oceanology" and "Estuarine, coastal and shelf research".

The Conference is happy to provide the venue for special sessions and round
tables devoted to any ongoing or completed projects or special topics. Please
inform the Organizing Committee in advance if you wish to hold such an event,
with attachment of the event concept, responsible person, participants and titles of
presentations.

On this occasion, we apologize for the recent malfunction of the Conference
