I have completed my Post doctorate from Malaysia and Ph.D. degree in Biological
Sciences from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2010. Since then, I am
working as an Assistant Professor in LC Women University, Lahore, Pakistan. I have
published 41 research articles (to date) in national and international journals and
conferences and published 5 international books. I am awardee of Gold Medal in an
international Conference of Botany. I am the first scientist who introduced EDS
technique for grass phytoliths in Epidermal Leaf Anatomy not only in Pakistan but also
in world and my many papers and an international book is published on it. Till yet I have
3 patents which are notified and gazetted by the intellectual property Organization,
Government of Pakistan. I am also the Reviewer of many well reputed journals. I have
supervised 13 M.Phil and 17 M.Sc students. Currently, I am supervising 6 Ph.D research
students. My current research interests include Plant systematics, Chemotaxonomy,
Ethnobotany, biodiversity and Conservation, medicinal plants, herbal drugs and wild
vegetables as alternative source of food.
