Page 1 – You wake up to your alarm ringing. 6 am on your day off, just your luck. Faced
with choice of either shutting alarm off and going back to sleep or getting up and
checking the weather.


Choice 1 -- Back to sleep – You missed your opportunity! A fisherman never
sleeps late on his day off. Back to page 1.
Choice 2 -- Get up and check weather – Just what they had predicted, perfect
conditions for fishing. Continue to page 2.
Page 2 – Now to decide where you’ll be taking to the water. A good day for freshwater or
saltwater? You must decide if you’re going freshwater fishing or if it’s the right day
for saltwater.


Choice 3 – Freshwater – A beautiful day for freshwater fishing indeed. Grab
your gear and hit the road. You get in car and travel to fishing spot, one you
have never been at before. You are now at Freshwater screen where you are
faced with another set of choices. (Possible idea of page choosing what to bring,
much like skateboarder selection page, also idea of forgetting license and having
to return back to house.)
Choice 4 – Saltwater – Great choice, you have always been one for the open sea.
Let’s see what the ocean has to offer. You get in car and travel to the shore.
You are now at Saltwater screen and faced with another set of choices.
Freshwater screen – Ahh, the great outdoors. Where to now? Take the path less
traveled, stay on the beaten path.

Choice 5 – Take the path less traveled – A noble choice indeed, although it is
looking rather strenuous. Continue making your way through brush or turn
around? (Turn around sends you back to Freshwater screen: Guess you don’t
have what it takes to brave the outdoors. Make way through brush leads to
perfect pond for fishing where nobody else is: Hard work pays off, this spot is all
yours.) Make way through brush leads to next set of choices, one in which you
will experience fishing.
1. Hard work pays off, this spot is all yours: It is now time to fish, pick up
that rod and lets get some fish on the line. Pick your bait.
2. Pick your bait: Screen much similar to screen in which you pick what
person you will be skateboarding as in CYOA reference. 3 different types
of bait for the job, each with different characteristics.
3. Bait is chosen: Each bait will have different effect. Now it is time to cast.
You choose where and how to cast, selection of two spots on screen. One
very close to trees and brush that looks promising (bait will get snagged
and adventure over), one more towards center of lake in which you will
eventually catch fish and picture of fish will display on screen.

Choice 6 – Stay on the beaten path – Playing it safe, well that never got ya too
far. Welcome to the most overfished spot in town, good luck getting a line in the
water. (Fishing spot with many people present, spot is unfishable and therefore
adventure is over, day of fishing done.)
Saltwater screen – Great choice, going for the bigger fish are ya? Well, how are you
getting them? Get on the party boat or take to the beach.


Choice 7 – Get on the party boat – Not a bad choice, a bit crowded for my
liking, but you’re the expert here. Grab a spot where most people are or
venture to the back of the boat where no one is? (Grab a spot by most takes
you to screen where you are snagged with others: Not a bad idea, the more bait
the more fish, but also the more opportunity for a snag. Adventure over. Go
where no one is takes you to bait choice screen: You are bold in your decision
making indeed, a great spot for fishing.) Go where no one is will lead you to bait
decision screen where you again will be confronted with 3 bait choices. Choice
will continue on much like freshwater successful choice and fish will be caught.
Choice 8 – Take to the beach – You enjoy the seclusion and alone time that the
beach has to offer, let’s see what’s in the surf.
