The focus of this presentation is Youth but in line with these developments will look at Play and Youth Provision. Days of Operation Tues – Fri 3.30 – 7.30 Saturdays 10.00 – 12.00 & 2.00 – 4.00 Staffing One full time play worker Three full time & part time play workers Beechwood Recreation Centre Opens Mon – Fri 9.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m. Saturday 11.30 – 7.30 p.m. Sunday 9.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m. Youth Provision – Fender Youth Action Age group 13 – 19 Provides Outreach Through - Youth Support Network Street Work Beechwood Recreation Centre Konnectabus Beechwood Trust Programme: Football Health & Fitness Project (Health Promoting Unit0 Youth Committee Hot Spot Work Street Contact Work Alcohol & Drugs Education Trips Plus the opportunity to engage in wider Youth & Community Service Provision. Stats - Play Total Attendance 10,094 Average Attendance each session 44 Stats – Youth Approx Youth Pop (13 – 19) 426 Since April 2004 no of YP 234 National PI’s for Youth Service 25% of youth population 13 – 19 FYA is engaged with approximately 55% of Youth Population Other Targets % of young people gaining recorded outcomes % of young people gaining Accredited Outcome The work on:Health Promoting Units Confidence Building Inclusion Community Safety Young Peoples Committee Will contribute to the young people gaining a recorded or accredited outcome. In Future: Work will be planned in relation to the 5 outcomes. We are currently looking at Curriculum Document to identify what work has to be done to ensure links between curriculum, 5 outcomes and view of Children & Young People.
