Conference Bob Wong Youth Director Starting a Club • Counsel with the Conference Youth Director • Present the Plan to the Church Board • Inform the Congregation during Church • Call an Organizational Meeting • Offer Basic Staff Training Course • Elect Director & Deputy Directors Starting a Club, cont. • Build the Program • Orientation • Home Visitation Program • Induction Ceremony • Build Community & Church Interest Pathfinder Club Membership • Grades 5 – 10 Only • Agree to Participate in All Activities • Faithful On-time Attendance • Full Parental Support • Pay All Fees On-time Pathfinder Club Membership, cont. • Own & Wear Complete Uniform as Required • Obey All Written & Oral Regulations • Willing to Participate in Spiritual Projects • Willing to Participate in All Conference Events • Live by Pledge & Law Adventurer Club Members Can: • Learn Christian Values • Experience Joy of Doing Things Well • Learn Good Sportsmanship • Discover & Use God-given Abilities Adventurer Club Parents Can: • Be Affirmed of Importance of Their Ministry • Improve Understanding of Strong Families • Find Support in Child Rearing • Share Aspects of Parenting • Discover Ideas to Improve Family Adventurer Club Membership • Grades 1 – 4 Only • Agree to Participate in All Activities • Faithful On-time Attendance • Full Parental Support • Pay All Fees On-time Adventurer Club Membership, cont. • Own & Wear Complete Uniform as Required • Obey All Written & Oral Regulations • Willing to Participate in Spiritual Projects • Willing to Participate in All Conference Events • Live by Pledge & Law Discovery Club Membership • Discovery Club is Original Creation of RH Church. • Little Lambs, Curious Cubs, & Eager Beavers are Eligible to be Included in All Conference Activities. • Above Levels Must Meet All Adventurer Policies. • Baby Birds are Not Eligible for Conference Adventurer Activities. Club Uniforms Should be Worn: • At Regular Meetings • At Special Programs • At Public Gatherings when Authorized • On Other Occasions as Specified by Staff • While Engaging in Missionary Activities Club Uniforms Should Not be Worn: • If Not a Current Club Member • For Work or Play • When Engaged in Selling for Other than Club • Anywhere or Anytime When It Discredits Club Club Finances Sources of Income: • Club Dues • Church Subsidy • Pathfinder Sabbath Offering • Sponsorships by Church & Community People • Special Fund-raising Projects Reports to Conference Points Given to Club for: • Club Meetings (at least 2 per month) • Up-to-Date Member List • Uniforms Worn when Required • Adults Should Be 1/3 of Membership • Staff Meet Once a Month Reports to Conference, cont. Points Given to Club for: • Well Organized Program • Special Scheduled Activities • Accurate Record of Spiritual Work • Staff Development • Reports In on Time (by 5th of Month) Insurance Operate an Injury-Free Program Consideration Must be Given to: • Premises • Equipment • Supervision • Types of Activity Club Handbook Each Club Should Produce One A lot of problems can be avoided if the membership is informed of their rights and responsibilities.
