As you may recall this upcoming fall meeting in Sacramento is a joint conference
between The Arc and the Supported Life Institute. The Arc of California will interweave
our community organizing and grassroots advocacy training into the conference by
providing the morning keynote speaker Mary Gonzales who will introduce the advocates
to the purpose of building power, followed by breakout sessions all day on the principles
of organizing for change.

17th Annual Inclusion Celebration and Dessert Social. Shella DuMong, from Alpha, the
chapter of The Arc in Santa Barbara County, will be recognized along with Art Bolton,
principal author of the Lanterman Act, and others for their work in helping people to be
included in their communities.

CCE Meeting - The California Conference of Executives of The Arc will be meeting at a
local restaurant (CCE: will cover member meals plus The Arc board reps [President and
the elected rep]).
