ENTER REPORT CARDS
The enables levels and comments of the pupils' performance and progress to be recorded.

1. Select the appropriate stage
2. Click NEW LIST
NOTE: Members of staff can be setup with permissions to only their classes using Edit
Data Settings, please see relevant help pages
3. Click onto the relevant class then the relevant pupil
4. Click ENTER at the bottom right of the screen
If National Assessment results have been entered for the pupil selected, a dialogue box will
appear asking if you would like to update the pupil’s working levels. Selecting YES will
assign the most up-to-date working level for the pupil. For example, if a pupil has achieved
Level C for English Reading, the working level will be entered as D. Selecting NO will leave
the working levels as they were or if reporting for the first time they will be left blank.
Clicking YES to update the working levels will take you into the selected pupil’s report card.
SELECT will take you back to the previous screen allowing you to select another pupil from
the list. SKIP takes you to the report card of the next child on the list.

The Reporting Screen
The latest National Assessment results and dates are displayed at the top of the screen.
Green text indicates an achievement, red text indicates that the pupil has not achieved that
level. These are Er: English Reading, Ew: English Writing, M: Mathematics.

Entering Programme Levels
The Programme Levels for Language and Mathematics are automatically entered when
selecting YES to update National Assessments. For other subjects, A to F can be selected
from the dropdown lists. If required by your authorities report template you should also select
1,2 or 3 from the next list. An example of what the numbers may refer to:

Entering Comments
When you enter the programme level for the subject, a radio button will appear controlling
the comments that can be entered for the pupil. The available comments will appear to the
right of the levels, in the top box. If you wish to display the comments for another level, click
on the comment buttons at the top of the screen to change the radio button.
To enter a comment into the report card, double click on it in the comment bank section
which will then move the comment to the working area. If any of the comments are too long
to view on the screen, hover the mouse over it and the full comment will be shown in a
dialogue box. The beginning of the sentence can be changed by double clicking on the
comment.

Compiling the comment
Once you have selected all the comments for the subject, they can be re-arranged into a
different order or removed if no longer required. After all the comments are set they can be
moved into the report area using the toolbar beneath the working area.

1. To move the comments up, select the comment and click on the up arrow
2. To move the comments down, select the comment and click on the down arrow
3. To remove a comment from the working area, first select the comment then click the
Delete Phrase button
4. To remove all comments from the working area, click the Delete All Phrases button
5. To add the comments to the report card click the Create Comment button.
Note: selecting Create Comment, will overwrite any text in the report card area for that
subject eg. Programme Level for Language.
6. To add other comments to the report card after selecting Create Comment, click the
Append Comment button.
Note: selecting Append Comment, will add the new comments on to the end of that part
of the report.
Personalising Comments
Click into the report area where you wish to add personal comments or edit existing
comments and enter or edit the data as necessary.
Spell Check
A spell check is available in the report area where the comments are entered or typed. Right
click the mouse to activate a short cut menu, select CHECK SPELLING (ALL TEXT). You
can also select to view the text in a larger or smaller font size; this will not alter the size of
font on the printed report card.
Previous Comments
As you are entering comments for the current report card, hover your mouse over the icon
beside Previous comment near the top right hand side of the screen. This will display the
comment entered for this subject on the last report card.

Entering Target Comments
Select the Targets tab and enter target comments in the same way as the programme level
comments.
Pupil Profile
The Pupil Profile tab will allow you to view additional information about the selected pupil, for
example their attendance and National Assessment results. From the main Pupil Profile tab
click on the ellipsis button beside the relevant heading to view further information. Click
BASIC DETAILS to return to the previous screen. For further information on Pupil Profile
please see relevant help page.
Entering Individual Ratings
Ratings can be entered for each pupil through the Enter Report Cards menu. Select the
appropriate radio button for each category. An example of possible ratings:

Printing the Report
The report card can be previewed or printed at any time, select INTERIM or FINAL as
appropriate.
NOTE: The final report template will reflect the authority’s end of year report.
