4th Grade “Dog Days”- Room 217

Happy Monday! I hope the school year is
continuing to be a positive one for all families in
our classroom and you all had a wonderful long
weekend!
What are we Learning about?
 Math-continuing with unit 3: multiplication. I will
be sending home some possible activities to do
with your child. Please try to practice with them
as much as possible. We will be having a test next
Monday. Flash cards work. As well as fact
triangles. They can also tell you about the games
they play to help them. Everydaymathonline.com
 Science- continuing to work on ecosystems, with a
focus on food chains, food webs, and transfer of
energy.
 ELA- We are wrapping up non-fiction text
structures
 Continuing our non-fiction animal reports. We will
be using computers this week to begin our final
copies!

I updated the website this week (I am
trying my best to stay on track!) On the
homepage, it has test dates for
upcoming test, as well as any important
dates for you to know about. I have also
updated wordly wise and math pages to
our current units. There are some fun
resources too!
**We will be having a read-in/movie day
the Wednesday before Thanksgiving
break. Your child can wear pajamas and
bring 1 stuffed animal or pillow. They
will get time to read a book of their
choice, and in the afternoon, we will
come together as a grade level and
watch a movie!
*For those of you who have already made
a conference time with me, I will be
sending home reminder forms soon to let
you know what time you currently have! 
