RM Letters UK Finance TRAFFIC & HOURS TEAM STAFF HOUR RECORDING SUBHEAD DEFINITIONS 22 Jan 2013 Version 5.5 R. Dunn National Hours Improvement and Compliance Manager 5368 2287 RDunn Page 1 INTRODUCTION This list provides the information needed to code P318 duty sheets within all systems (Mini Duty Builder, MIST, RSL, etc). The list is broken down into the standard set of subheads that can be used by each function. Units can use subheads outside their function by special permission, if for example, a Delivery unit performs Mail Centre work, then a special RCS subhead file can be obtained via your Regional Traffic and Hours Manager. The purpose of RCS subheads is to allow for accurate recording of AWD, SA, Overtime, Pressure, Lapsed, etc. within the Balance Of Staff in the Resource Control System. These subheads are not open to interpretation. Accurate recording of staff hours is vital because it impacts upon: Bonus Payments Product Costing, including Downstream Access Regulatory Analysis Unit & Area Performance Measurement The accuracy of the Product Costing and Regulatory information is subject to External Audit. The Regulator has the power to request data from any internal reporting system down to Cost Centre level. It is fundamental that the baseline hours (AWD & SA) accurately reflect what is performed in our unit and balance with the hours held within your P318 system. It is also just as important that Pressure and Lapsed hours are recorded fully and accurately. Subheads for all systems, including instructions are available via your Regional Finance Traffic and Hours Manger. If you have any queries please contact your Regional, Finance, Traffic and Hours Manager.
