1. How many minutes does Aditya take to cover a
distance of 400m, if he runs at a speed of 20km/hr?
Solution:
Aditya’s Speed = 20 km/hr = (20×5/18)m/sec
= 50/9m/sec
Time taken to cover 400m = (400×9/50)sec
.
= 72 sec
Required time = 72/60 min

2. A car is running at a speed of 108 kmph. What
distance will it cover in 15 seconds?
Solution:
Speed = 108kmph = (108× 5/18) m/sec
= 30 m/sec
Distance covered in 15 sec = (30× 15)m
= 450 m
