Adding a player to more than one team It is not uncommon for a softball/touch player to play in more than one team. Here are the steps on how to record a player twice in your database using TeamBuilder. Go to Dashboard > TeamBuilder > click on the form name to open the TeamBuilder view. In this example, the player Manu Paul, plays in the Under 6 Mixed grade (Hoppers team) and the Under 7 grade (Racers team). Manu Paul has registered by completing a player registration form, then the club administrator has dragged and dropped him into the Hoppers team via TeamBuilder. To add Manu Paul to the Racers team > click on the Racers team and Add a new player. As you start typing Manu’s, name the system recognises an existing player. If you click on the highlighted name it will prompt you to move the player from their existing team into the Racers team. You DON’T want to do this as you want the player to appear in both teams so click No. Instead continue entering the player details > click + and this will add the player to the team Then click Save and Close When you now view TeamBuilder you will see the players name twice on the left hand side When you go into Online Regsitrations > then click on the form name you will see Manu Paul listed twice. PLEASE NOTE: You must add the player via TeamBuilder. If Manu Paul registers again with the club by completing a blank form, you will see his name listed is the database in the Online Registraions area, however when this is viewed in team builder the system will recognise it is the same person and only display him once.
