Head of Independent Living Adaptations and Older Persons Support Manager Adaptations and Older Persons Support Team Leader Independent Living Assistant Adaptations and Older Persons Support Team Leader The Independent Living Assistant will support the Independent Living Co-ordinators to provide a high quality housing management and support service to older people living in Stockport Homes sheltered accommodation. You will provide cover for the Independent Living Co-ordinators and arrange outings, events, activities and entertainment in conjunction with tenants to maintain a relaxed, friendly and participatory environment. You will identify and introduce new and innovative activities within the wider community appropriate to the needs of all tenants. You will work in conjunction with other members of the Adaptations and Older Persons Support Team, internal departments and external agencies to support customers to promote and maintain their independence. Work in accordance with service standards, policies and procedures to achieve objectives and outcomes for customers. Ensure that all the records are maintained accurately and securely and that strict confidentiality is maintained in line with data protection legislation. Ensure the security and safety of the premises and customers; responding appropriately to activations of the emergency call and fire alarm systems and undertaking regular health and safety and security checks. Work in partnership and effectively with all Independent Living Co-ordinators, Assistants and the Older Persons Activities Coordinator when planning events or liaising with tenants. Contribute positively to team meetings, the collaborative development of services and learning and development.
