NARVA DT-T8 LED tubes in
Brand-Erbisdorf primary school
Brand-Erbisdorf primary school for general education has the following mission statement:
Learning together – with heart and mind
The school’s aim is to teach children a self-assured, socially aware and independent
approach to life. The school has 325 children in 14 classes from grades 1 to 4.
The Town of Brand-Erbisdorf together
with the school and NARVA planned new
lighting concept as part of a regional
Saxon energy management initiative.
DT-T8 Retrofit LED tubes were selected
to save energy and improve lighting
conditions in the classrooms and
common rooms.
NARVA LED retrofit tubes are a professional high-quality replacement for fluorescent
lamps. These tubes are designed for temperatures ranging between -20 and +40°C, and
extend far beyond ambient lighting in application due to their excellent luminous flux
values.
The new DT-T8 Retrofit tubes were installed in
classrooms, school cabinets and common rooms.
Most of the work takes place in the classrooms,
with desks and chairs arranged according to the
type of work. The aim was to plan the lighting for
any furniture arrangement.
Proper light distribution and even lighting intensity
prevent glare, making any type of visual work
easier, especially enabling a clear view of the
board in front of the class.
The DT-T8 Retrofit tubes feature especially even
light emissions and excellent luminous flux
values; their high switching capability makes them
very robust, and they are also compact and
impact-resistant due to the polycarbonate
material used.
Energy savings and up to three times the life time
of conventional fluorescent lamps make these
LED tubes an attractive lighting alternative.
The old lamps in the corridors of the
school were also replaced by new
LED lamps.
Before the upgrade:
The corridors in the school were dark
and poorly illuminated.
After the upgrade:
The corridors are bright and
illuminated.
The new light colour 840 was used
here.
