Zurn’s new state-of-the art polypropylene Fusion-Lock
unit takes the guess work out of the fusion process.
Enhanced features include a lighter, easier-to-handle
design, new data logging ability, and superior power
compensation. Data logging makes it possible to
track information on welded joints by user and/or
location. The Zurn system, utilizing a patented
combination fitting for Fusion-Lock, Stab-Lock
and grooved mechanical joining methods, reduces
handling costs and simplifies inventory. Another
innovative design brought to you by Zurn.
STAB·LOCK ®
Stab-Lock is a patent pending connection that
requires no special glues or grooving tools to
install. Featuring a polyethylene sealing ring and
stainless steel grab ring, Stab-Lock provides a
superior chemical drainage system connection that
can be used on both polyethylene and PVDF. Zurn
Stab-Lock can be used with our existing patented
combination fitting to produce maximum labor savings.
UPC approved to ASTM standard F1412.

DRAINAGE SYSTEMS
McAdams Junior High
Located in the Dickinson Independent School District
Dickinson, Texas
Kilgore Industries was the contractor selected to install a drainage
system at McAdams Junior High in Dickinson, Texas. The project used
Zurn PVDF pipe and Stab-Lock fittings. Peyton Hill, Project Manager for
Kilgore Industries commented that he “found the Stab-Lock to have
obvious benefits. Stab-Lock provided fast and simple installation that
guys in the field easily adapted to. Once seals were lubricated, insertion
of the pipe was easy. Enjoyed using the product and would use it again
in the future.”
Dominican University, Parmer Hall
River Forest, Illinois
Barry Thomas Plumbing was the contractor selected to install a drainage
system at Dominican University in River Forest, IL. The project used 1300
feet of Zurn FR Polypro pipe, and 250 Stab-Lock connections. While the
contractors were new to the system, they found it to be very easy to
learn and apply. The push-together features of the Zurn products
eliminated the need for grooving pipe, which is necessary in traditional
mechanical joint systems. Because of this, they were able to exceed
projected footage installed per day by 25%. The Zurn Stab-Lock is
“easier, quicker, and more reliable than traditional mechanical joining
methods,” commented Hank Lenzen, contractor, Barry Thomas Plumbing.
Virginia Tech, Life Sciences Building
Blacksburg, Virginia
G.J. Hopkins Mechanical was the contractor selected to install a
chemical drainage system at Virginia Tech’s Life Sciences Building in
Blacksburg, Virginia. The project used a total of 1266 Stab-Lock
connections. The Stab-Lock connections were easily installed, providing
maximum labor savings.

Stab-Lock® Connections …
Hill Services Plumbing and HVAC was contacted by a corn syrup
manufacturer to quickly repair an existing chemical drainage pipe.
Another brand of chemical drain pipe was installed at the location
and was beginning to fail.
After completing the repairs, Shane Smith of Hill Services Plumbing
and HVAC contacted Zurn to say that the Zurn Stab-Lock fittings were
easily applied to the existing system to make all necessary repairs.
He said he would use Stab-Lock fittings and Zurn Chemical Drainage
systems again on future industrial repairs and new installations.
