% Credit applies to fuel sources where additional credit is applicable this applies to a generating facility
that is placed in service on or after January 1, 2004, and according to PUC Article § 7-704 (d):
1. On or before December 31, 2005, an electricity supplier shall receive 120% credit toward meeting
the renewable energy portfolio standard for energy derived from wind.
2. After December 31, 2005, and on or before December 31, 2008, an electricity supplier shall receive
110% credit toward meeting the renewable energy portfolio standard for energy derived from wind.
3. On or before December 31, 2008, an electricity supplier shall receive 110% credit toward meeting
the renewable energy portfolio standard for energy derived from methane under § 7-701(l)(4) of this
subtitle.
REC Credit is the number of RECs multiplied by the % Credit.

Compliance Fee Remittance Report:
The Compliance Fee Remittance Report is a form that is required of those that are
making an Alternative Compliance Payment to satisfy a Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 RPS
Obligation. This form can be found on the Maryland RPS webpage. Alternative
Compliance Payments (in the form of a check made out to the ‘Comptroller of
Maryland’) and the original Compliance Fee Remittance Report form will be sent directly
to the following address:
