What type of syllabus is English for
Palestine ?
• English for Palestine is a modern , communicative English course which has
been specially written for schools in Palestine .
• The 12 levels systematically develop competence in the four skills (
listening , speaking , reading and writing ) and encourage students to
become confident users of English .
• English for Palestine introduces English to young children through familiar
situations, stories, songs and games.
The type of syllabus is skill – based .
What do the first few pages in the TB
present ?
 They present a table of contents which involves 16
topics such as:
• Bloom's Taxonomy Verbs ( verbs of Knowledge ,
comprehension , application , analysis , Synthesis and
evaluation)
• Self evaluation questionnaire
• Model lesson plans. A model preparation for a unit
 They present general goals of teaching English for
Palestine and a list of deleted subjects.

