Purpose of Solar Development
• Address the Energy needs of Navajo Nation Customers
• NTUA seeks to maintain lower rates
• Will diversify NTUA’s energy supply and create energy
independence
• Will provide renewable/clean energy resources to Navajo
residents
• Promote the development of new employment opportunities
– Several hundred construction jobs will be available
– 5 or more permanent utility jobs to be created
