SEPTEMBER 10 – 13, 2017 Now is the time to submit an abstract to present at the Annual Conference! We invite you to share your water/wastewater knowledge and experience. Submittals that provide relevant, accurate information and insights, introduce new technology and/or innovation, demonstrate unique use of existing technology and highlight problem solving are needed. The call is open as of February 9, 2017! In addition to innovative approaches and technology, we are also interested in abstracts that address the following areas. Water and Wastewater Treatment Water Reuse Laboratory Collection and Distribution Energy Management Small Systems Water Resource Management Water Quality Watershed Management Stormwater Conservation Regulations Instrumentation/Controls Operations Construction Innovative Technologies Utility Administration Management Challenges Call for Special Session Submission ‐ Special Sessions are presentations / panel discussions lasting longer than 30 minutes or a group of several 30 minute presentations under a similar topic such as innovative water/wastewater technologies, water reuse, nutrient removal, and laboratory practices. You will be asked if you’d like your presentation to be considered for a special session, then prompted to select from a few pre‐
planned sessions or to propose your own. Please consider submitting an abstract the following pre‐planned special sessions: 

Exhibit Hall Mobile Sessions – Exhibit Hall Mobile Sessions are interactive presentations that explore a topic by highlighting several related vendors in the exhibit hall Special Sessions on Innovation – This year’s conference will feature multiple special sessions on Innovative Water Technologies, Innovative Wastewater Technologies, and Innovative approaches to Utility Management and Operations. Contact Cole Sigmon at [email protected] by March 3, 2017 if you wish to propose a special session that’s not listed. If you are selected to coordinate a special session, please make sure all of your participants are aware of the requirement to register. Submitting an Abstract: Abstracts are due by March 31, 2017 at midnight. To submit an abstract, go to the Joint Annual Conference page on either the RMWEA (www.rmwea.org) or the RMSAWWA (www.rmsawwa.org) websites. Fill out the submission form completely. For the “subject” of the abstract, please choose the ONE category that best describes your abstract noting that there is a category “Other” if none of the categories fits well. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee and rated based on four criteria: Originality, Technical Content, Benefits & Significance, and Quality of the Submission.
