Youth worker
Snapshot Team Leader/Senior.
20hr as agreed with Team Leader.
To provide a purposeful relationship with individuals and their family/whanau to enable them to activate their goals
and aspirations; increase their quality of life and move towards greater interdependence.
Task
 Uphold the Organisations vision and Philosophy towards
Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
 Liaise with Kaiarahi and Iwi as appropriate.
Outcome
 Culturally appropriate service
delivery to clients.
 Improved bi-cultural practice.
Communicate with other
professionals/agencies as
appropriate



Liaise regularly and attend meetings.
Maintain weekly client updates through written source
letter/email.


Paramountcy
Work to child safety and
reporting Policies





Ensure policies and procedures reflect the Paramountcy
of the child or young person is the main priority
Regular training in Non-violence crisis intervention
De-escalation training
Have attended training in recognising and reporting Child
abuse
Have knowledge of all Gateway Housing Trust/Snapshot
policies and procedures relating to the safety and wellbeing of child and youth clients





 Attend meetings, training and supervision sessions as
required.
 Follow Gateway Housing Trust philosophy, ethics and
boundaries.
 All documentation related to individuals is accurate and
current – both electronic and hard copies.
 Administrative systems are used in accordance with
Gateway Housing Trust Policies and procedures.
 Clients receive entitlement and are aware of their rights.
Outcome
 The employee works within

 Administrative tasks are
properly completed and in a

Be responsible for specific resources e.g. vehicles.


Participate in Snapshot team development – planning
