Denver Area Lutheran Early Childhood Administrators 2017 Winter Workshop We MUST Play! What does play have to do with social, emotional and academic learning? You have always known that play teaches much more than we give it credit for. Together we will discover the cognitive pathway that allows play to teach. We will “play” a bit on our own and learn how to asses play in a way that helps to teach parents of its essential benefits. Saturday, February 11 Zion Lutheran Church and School – Brighton Registration 8:00-8:30 a light breakfast will be available 8:30-12:30 Devotions and Presentation If you wish to have lunch in the Brighton area before heading home, a list of suggestions will be available. This event is for anyone working with young children. Invite members of your congregation who work in other public or private programs. Invite those who do inhome childcare. A certificate will be available for 3.5 hours of training in social/emotional development and assessment. DIRECTORS: Be sure to bring a door prize valued between $20-25.
