Relationships and family topic
There is a full report from the LIG reps on the Partnership
Board page:

k/uploads/attachment/945/hampshire-ld-partnership-board-ligreps-report-relationships-and-family-final-18112015.pdf
Main points are:
 On going support is needed
 Relationship and sexual health workshops are needed
 Friendships are important – meeting with friends for
examples
Janet added that some providers do not continue activities
and people rely on parents/carers for transport to activities.
Also providers do not talk to each other for sharing transport.

Latest Minutes
Parents/carers are “expert by experience”. It is important that
they have an input when things change.
Jess added it was an excellent report and providers need staff
that can drive and also sharing staff is important. Jason said
that providers need to work together and it is important for
him to hear the feedback.
The report needs to be sent to providers (Jason) and public
health (Michelle).
Transformation to 2017
We split into 4 tables:
Context/Why?
(Jess/Cllr Liz/Michelle)
We need to do things differently to save money but also to
improve life of people with learning disability. We need to
save 14.5% budget of the budget over the next 2 years.

Different areas of work:
- Working closer with health (more choice and control; we
cannot have a repeat of Winterbourne View)
- Residential care (if people live in supported living, they
get more benefits. We can also build new services)
- Day opportunities: teaching people new skills and
supporting them
- My Life My way (see below)

Welcome back Debbie.
Tanya got married on the 17th October. Congratulations
We agreed we needed more time to think about T17 and we
agreed that the LIGs will hold some drop-in events for a wide
