Dear Neighbor, Every year, the Maury Elementary PTA holds its “Maury at the Market” gala and auction at the historic Eastern Market North Hall to raise funds critical to ensuring a quality education for Maury students. This year, we hope you will be a sponsor of Maury at the Market, and be well-­‐recognized by the 300+ families in and around Capitol Hill who send their children to Maury. Maury at the Market is the PTA's signature event, and, accordingly, there are so many ways we recognize our sponsors. This year we are offering Maury at the Market reusable shopping bags with the logos of our top sponsors, a “Maury at the Market Supporter” window decal for businesses (or sticker or magnet, if you prefer), a listing of our sponsors in a new Maury Shopping and Dining Guide, as well as a listing distributed monthly to every school family, and expanded social media recognition. These are aimed at making the sponsorship more meaningful for your business, and to show Maury families' sincere appreciation for your support. Additional details can be found in the attached flyer. Donations, because they will go directly to the Maury PTA, a 501(c)(3) non-­‐profit, are tax-­‐deductible. And of course, your support will mean that Maury can continue to: • Hire the beloved classroom aides for first through fifth grades (positions not budgeted for by DCPS), • Provide much-­‐needed classroom supplies, and • Enable educational outings, special assemblies and workshops for our students, class libraries, math competitions, and much more!
