Manufacturing Cost Accountant Duties & Responsibilities: Standard costing – building, monitoring, forecasting, reporting, analysing including (materials, labour and overhead) Must have the ability to analyze and interpret cost figures Monitors job costs and provides cost summaries and margin/variance analysis Distribute costs between various divisions of production and management Review and analyze inventory, expense, cost and variance accounts Provide support to R&D/Engineering and Project Managers to track and forecast project costs Help to design reports that will streamline processes and reporting functions Analysis of production variances and analysis Required Experience: The successful candidate will have completed a post-secondary program in Accounting and be working towards their CMA or CGA designation 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required Direct experience dealing with shop staff and manufacturing floor operations Defense and/or Aviation manufacturing experience is highly preferred Advanced working knowledge of Excel and strong database skills Experience with an ERP system Hands-on attitude Must have strong verbal & written communication skills, outgoing and confident personality, and work well independently ARMATEC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER; We value diversity in the workplace, are committed to employment equity/equal opportunity employment and will provide reasonable workplace accommodation to applicants with disabilities.
