Payprint Printing System The Payprint system is designed to allow Budget Managers to control the amount of printing credits their staff/postgraduates use. A unique print user account is automatically generated when a user prints their first print job to a Payprint printer. €10 worth of print credit is automatically assigned to the account. To top-up your account you have to request a transfer of funds from your budget manager or purchase print credits in the Print Room (E1-005). A budget manager for a department can distribute print credit to individuals within their department. Printing costs 4c per black & white page and 40c per colour page. Contents: 1. Click on the Start button located on the taskbar 2. Choose Settings and then choose the Printer option 3. Double Click on Add Printer 4. The Add Printer Wizard will open. Click on Next > 5. Choose Network Printer on the next screen and then choose Next > 6. If you know the name of the Payprint Printer, type the name of it in the text box titled Name: 7. If not click on Next > to Browse for it. 8. Clicking on Next of the previous screen will reveal the screen opposite “Browse For Printer” 9. Scroll through the Staff Shared printers list and select Payprint1 (by double clicking with your mouse). 10. Select the Printer you wish to print to. Note: the path of the printer will appear opposite Printer: You must click on the small green plus sign to choose the exact printer 11. Click Next > 12. This screen will give you details of the printer you are connected to. 13. Click on Finish to complete the process of adding the printer to your Profile. 14. You are now ready to print using Payprint Within your document, choose Print from the File menu and choose the printer you just added from the drop down list and choose Print. How to View Printer Activity on the Web With the Payprint System you can view all your printer activity including amount charged and balance left on the web.To activate your Payprint account you must first print a page using a Payprint Printer. To connect and print to a Payprint printer use the information above. When you print your first page you are automatically given a balance of €10. To view your printer activity type the following into the address bar of your web browser or follow the link: http://Payprint64:2914 Once you click this link you will be asked for your username and password Enter your login details and click OK You will now have a web page that shows you Login name, Current balance and Current billing code. To view a statement of all your printing activity click Statement. To transfer credit to other users click Transfer. (For more instructions please read below.) How to Transfer Printing Credit to Individual users To Transfer Funds to other users click Transfer on the Account Status page as shown on the previous page. You should now be on the Account Transfer page. 1. Enter amount to be transferred to user in the Transfer Amount box. 2. Enter the user’s ID e.g. T.J.Davitt. 3. Then click Transfer Funds. 4. You will now receive a confirmation page showing whom you transferred the funds to and how much was transferred. You will also be told your remaining balance.
