The Ingersoll Rand name or other strategic brand names only display a “ ” when used as strategic brands, do not use a “ ” when the name is referring to the corporate or business enterprise. ® ® ® I N G E R S O L L R A N D V I S U A L I D E N T I T Y S TA N D A R D S 1.1 Ingersoll Rand Signature Usage Corporate Signature The corporate signature is the Company's logo. It is the simplest and most direct expression of the company’s message, and therefore is applied to all corporate communications materials, including annual reports, corporate advertising, online applications, investor communications, HR, and recruitment programs. The Ingersoll Rand signature evokes the notion of progress and drive through its forward movement and uniform rhythm. The alignment and shared momentum of the symbol and logotype, along with consistent application of “Ingersoll Rand red,” supports the notion of collaboration. The subtle distinctiveness among letterforms speaks to both authenticity and imagination. Registered Trademark Symbol Appears everywhere except on signage applications. Ingersoll Rand Symbol The Ingersoll Rand corporate signature comprises the Ingersoll Rand symbol and the Ingersoll Rand logotype. The size and position relationships shown above must be maintained at all times. Never use the symbol by itself, separate from the logotype. Ingersoll Rand Symbol The symbol is most often positioned to the left of the logotype, sharing a baseline. The symbol can also be positioned above the logotype, as specified in the following pages. Ingersoll Rand Logotype The logotype is derived from the Lucida Sans typeface and has been custom italicized to complement the Ingersoll Rand symbol. Ingersoll Rand Logotype Never abbreviate Ingersoll Rand (example “IR“ ). Also, please note that while the hyphen has been removed from our communicative name, Ingersoll Rand, the company's full legal name is Ingersoll-Rand Company, and must be used as such in all legal documents and on copyright lines (hyphen included). This unit is comprised of the symbol, the Ingersoll Rand word mark, and the Ingersoll Rand tagline. The size relationship shown here must be maintained in all its applications. These elements, the size ratio of each element to one another, and their position in relation to one another should never be altered, resized, redrawn or modified in any way. Trademark The registered trademark symbol ( ) is never used when the tagline in present.
