Background and present state of research Provide information on the background and present state of the art in the research field, rationale and own preliminary results. Aims, research questions and working hypothesis Describe the working hypothesis, aims and research questions of the project. Work plan and methodology Summarize your work plan, techniques and methods, highlighting their originality and novelty. Structure of the consortium Illustrate the role of all project partners and the structure of the consortium, including the involvement of external collaborators. Added value Describe the benefit from working together in this international collaboration. 3 Additional information (max. 1 page) Please provide brief information on the topics listed below, if appropriate. You may freely decide on the length of the individual topics. However, limiting this section to one page is mandatory including references and figures (references may be included in smaller font size 6 pt.). Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Describe how patients, carers and the public have been and will be involved in the planning, design and application of the proposal. You will find more information about PPI here. Gender-related and socio-economic factors Explain if you consider socio-economic factors or gender-related research questions and incorporate these factors when formulating your research hypotheses, aims and work plan. Training and exchange of young researchers Provide information on training and exchange of young researchers (e.g. laboratory exchanges for students and postdocs; summer schools) within the consortia.
