Common Print Settings
The example below is your [basic] print screen

The [basic] screen will allow you the following print options:
[1] Original Orientation: specifies the orientation of the original document.
[2] Original Size: specifies the size of the original document.
[3] Paper Size: specifies the output paper size. (Note: automatically enlarges or
reduces when the Original Size setting is changed).
[4] Zoom: Specifies the enlargement or reduction ratio. (Note: you can select
manual to input ratio manually).
[5] Paper Tray: (Note: default is AUTO) you can select tray for printing.
[6] Paper Type: (Note: default is PLAIN) you can select paper type for printing.
[7] Output Method: Option utilized for non-conventional printing for special output
methods such as “Secure Print” or “Save in User Box”.
[8] User Setting: Specifies the ID and password, or the file name box number
when performing “Secure Print” or “Save in User Box”.
[9] Authentication/Account Track: Specifies the user name or password when
performing user authentication, and the department name and password when
performing account track on the printer.
[10] Copies: Specifies the number of copies to print.
[11] Collate: Specifies whether to print multiple copies in sets. (Note: to staple
sets uncheck the collate box before printing.
[12] Offset: When printing multiple copies, shifts the output position of each set.
[13] Paper Setting for Each Tray: Specifies the paper type for each paper tray.
Layout Tab:

[1] Combination: Prints multiple pages on one page, or prints one sheet of an
original document divided onto multiple pages. (Note: clicking the Combination
Details button can specify Details).
[2] Rotate 180: Prints the image rotated 180*.
[3] Skip Blank Pages: Does not print blank pages in the data.
[4] Chapters: Specifies the pages to be printed on the front side.
[5] Print Type: Specifies duplex printing and booklet printing. (Note: default is 1
sided).
[6] Binding Position: Specifies the binding position. (Note: default is Auto, Left
bind prints left to right, Top Bind prints Top to bottom).
[7] Binding Margin: Specifies the binding margin. Click the Binding Margins
Settings to specify the margin values.
[8] Image Shift: Prints by shifting the entire print image. Click the Image Shift
setting to specify the image shift values.
Finish Tab: (Note: for Finisher option only)

[1] Staple: From the drop down list, specify number of staple staples and the
stapling position. (Left corner, 2 position left, or 2 position top- Note: in order to
staple at top you will have to change ‘Binding Position” to Top bind under the Lay
out Tab” and change the “Original orientation” from Portrait to Landscape on
Basic menu tab)
[2] Center Staple and Fold: Specifies to saddle stitch a printed document utilized
for booklet.
[3] Punch: From the drop down list specify hole punching options: Left or topNote: in order to punch at top you will have to change ‘Binding Position” to Top
bind under the Lay out Tab” and change the “Original orientation” from Portrait to
Landscape on Basic menu tab)
[4] Fold: from the drop down list specify the folding options: Half fold, Tri-fold,
etc).
Stamp/Composition Tab
[1] Watermark: check the watermark box to allow for printing of watermarks on
the pages being printed. Watermarks can be added, changed, or deleted by
clicking the [Edit] button].
When you check the Watermark box the following will appear:

[2] Date/Time: check the Date/Time box: prints date and time on the pages being
printed.
[3] Page Number: check the Page number box: prints page number on the pages
being printed.
