A) Offense defined- A person set at liberty by court order, without bail, upon condition that he will subsequently
appear at a specific time and place commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if, without lawful excuse, he
fails to appear at the time and place. The offense constitutes felony, or for disposition of any such charge, and the
actor took light or sent into holding to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment.
B) Exception-Subsection (a) of this section does not apply to obligation to appear incident to release under
suspended sentence, probation or parole.
C) 1972, Dec. 6, P.L. 1482, No 334, 1, effective June 6, 1973.
