This Aberdeen project follows our recent very successful contract at the Maggie’s
Cancer Care Centre, Aberdeen. These works involved the supply and installation of
all the internal joinery units and upholstery, timber wall linings and hardwood flooring.
Externally we carried out the wall cladding, timber nosings and risers to the external
stair together with the external decking.

High End Developments
Hamilton Place, Edinburgh
TJL are currently involved in a number of premium quality residential developments.
In Edinburgh we recently completed refurbishment works and structural alterations
to a Victorian building to form six high-end apartments at Hamilton Place for the
Chris Stewart Group. The project consisted of the strip out and partial demolition of
a Victorian building spread over 4 levels. Significant structural alterations took place
including the removal of gable walls, structural supports and the roof. The building was
then made weather tight including the introduction of several new roof lights and roof
terraces.
Internally, 6 high quality apartments were formed. Each property is accessed through
a new common entrance door from the street up the original staircase. Each flat has
oak flooring and tiles throughout and built-in bespoke furniture manufactured at TJL’s
factory. The garden to the rear was landscaped, the commercial space adjacent was
made safe and fire proofed and a new emergency exit was formed out the rear of the
building.
Our success on the Hamilton Place project has led to our involvement in the Andrew
Doolan Award winning Advocates Close development where we have just completed
the full fit-out of a shell to form 14 new high end, serviced apartments. The works
included extensive sound proofing, significant M&E installations, premium internal
finishes and decoration, new fully fitted kitchens and fully tiled bathrooms and
en-suites. The project also saw the bespoke manufacture of a number of joinery
components including headboards, TV units, wardrobes and seating.

Moreover, in London’s upmarket borough of Notting Hill, we are currently
developing three luxury apartments at 17-21 Hereford Road. The three high-end
residential properties will retain their existing façade and are being constructed with
environmentally friendly materials to ensure a high standard of energy efficiency.
Still in the construction stage at present, the properties will be fitted out to a premium
standard with underfloor heating, tiled or engineered hardwood floors, solid hardwood
doors and stair treads. Kitchens and bathrooms will have high quality branded fixtures,
appliances and sanitaryware and stone finishes where specified.
