Willow Tree SSP and Springhallow School – Working in Partnership Since 2001 we have worked in partnership with Springhallow School to provide the very best opportunities for young people not just in school but across the London borough of Ealing. The school have been big advocates of our collaborative partnering which resulted in the School Sport Partnership being selected to be one of 52 host sites across the country to lead on Inclusive PE and school sport through the School Games in West London. Springhallow’s support in applying and supporting the partnership was essential to the Projectability programme being awarded to Ealing. For many years staff from Willow Tree SSP have team taught with staff from Springhallow during curriculum and extra-curricular delivery as well as during whole school sporting events. Team teaching has provided benefits for all parties with additional activities and opportunities included for the pupils while SSP staff have been supported with developing their knowledge of children’s needs at the school with a particular focus on using PE and sport as a tool for developing children’s personal, social and emotional skills. Springhallow have regularly attended a range of different sporting activities and competitions and have represented the London borough of Ealing annually at London wide events in Panathlon Challenge and the London School Games finals. The school also makes a big contribution to the development of PE and school sport at a strategic level with senior management positioned on the partnerships steering committee which has been essential in ensuring the vision is fully inclusive. This has also helped to inform support and interventions offered to schools in meeting the expected outcomes of the Primary PE and sport premium. We would like to thank our partners at Springhallow for their full engagement over the years and look forward to continued partnership working in the future.
