Dear Ramirez Elementary Parents,
The 2013-14 school year will soon begin! We look forward to all that is good and wonderful at our
school. These days are filled with positive energy and enthusiasm as we plan for the year ahead.
We warmly welcome new teachers for the upcoming school year. Ms. Yadira Salinas (2nd grade),
Miss Jessica Espinoza (5th grade), Mr. Eric Garza (5th grade), Mr. Hector Rios (CEI lab) and Mr.
Omar Zavala, (Special Education Para-professional). They exemplify the Mighty Lynx Spirit and we
are happy they will be a part of our team.
Here is some useful information:
 School Uniforms: School Uniform colors will remain the same as last year.
The dress code is as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: royal blue polo shirt/khaki or navy blue pants
Wednesday: red polo shirt/khaki or navy blue pants
Friday: school spirit t-shirt (for sale the first few weeks of school), a college
t-shirt, or royal blue polo shirt/khaki or navy blue pants
***BLUE JEANS will only be allowed on specified days.
 Meet the Teacher Night: Come by and meet your child’s teacher Friday, August 23, 2013
from 4:00-7:30pm. This is a great time to bring in your child’s school supplies.
 School Times: The first day of school is Monday, August 26, 2013. The school day begins
promptly at 7:45 am and dismisses at 3:00 pm. -Please make sure to let your child’s teacher
know what mode of transportation they will be following (bus, pick-up, or daycare). This will
help in assuring they get home safely and in a timely manner.
 Parent Volunteers: We welcome parent volunteers; however, you need to register with Ms.
Lizett De Leon, our Parent Involvement Assistant.
