Zenith Structural Access has vacancies for three Apprentice Steeplejacks to join their team. The
company works throughout the UK and in a number of countries across Europe and beyond,
including Qatar, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Malaysia and Spain. Applicants must be prepared to
travel and live away from home as part of their working life.

Edinburgh Napier University is holding tours of its three main campuses to show
prospective students the facilities on offer and to give them an insight into life as an
Edinburgh Napier student.

Tours will be held at all three campuses on Friday 7 October, Wednesday 12 October,
Wednesday 19 October, Wednesday 2 November, Wednesday 16 November,
Wednesday 30 November and Wednesday 14 December. Each tour begins at 3pm and
lasts for approximately one hour.

Building Services Engineering –
Mechanical Apprentice
This is a four year apprenticeship within an Edinburgh based
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting Engineers practice.
The role will include learning and implementing the design of
Mechanical Building Services including CAD, Building Information
Modelling (BIM), thermal modelling, design calculations, general
administration and report writing.
The successful applicant will be expected to attend college part time
to work towards an HNC. On successful completion consideration will
be given for further part time education to BSc/BEng, depending on
HNC results. All courses are currently on a day release basis and will
be funded by the employer.

BAE Systems Engineering Apprentice Open Evening
BAE Systems Naval Ships, Govan, Glasgow

Our engineers design, build and deliver complex warships and
state-of-the-art combat systems. Places on the company’s apprentice
programme are some of the most sought after in the industry.
Come to our Naval Ships Open Evening to speak with current BAE Systems
apprentices and engineers to hear first-hand about the work they do.
The event is open to individuals aged 16+ as well as interested parents
and guardians.

Trainee scheme in Civil Engineering, Quantity
Surveying or Construction Management
Our trainee scheme will give you the opportunity to train as a Civil
Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or Construction Manager. From day one our
scheme is designed to give you the best mentored, relevant and practical
experience in parallel with academic study.
Applicants to Civil Engineering must achieve Highers at ABBB with Maths,
Physics or Technological Studies at B. For the Quantity Surveying and
Construction Management schemes Highers at ABBC plus Nat 5s in
English and Maths are required.

Apprentice Information Days

Torness Power Station is holding information days about its very successful Engineering Maintenance
Apprenticeship scheme on Saturday 5 November and Sunday 4 December to let prospective recruits
know more about the programme. There will be three sessions on each day at 9:30, 11:00 and 13.00.
From studying at HMS Sultan in Portsmouth for the first two years, to what qualifications are needed
and how to apply, the information day will prove invaluable to anyone considering a career in
engineering maintenance.
The information days will take place at Torness Power Station in the Visitor Centre and will last roughly
