violence support initiatives in the NT.
About White Ribbon
White Ribbon is Australia’s only national, male led Campaign to end men’s violence against women.
Vision
All women live in safety free from all forms of men's violence.
Mission
Making women's safety a man's issue too.
One in three women over the age of 15 report physical of sexual violence at some time in their lives
and in the last twelve months more than 3,700 female Territorians over the age of 15 have been
victims of domestic violence.
With the formation of a White Ribbon Committee in 2015, a White Ribbon Ball has been proposed to
raise funds and awareness of White Ribbon messages.
Event Details
The event is to be held at the Hilton on the Esplanade on Friday 28 August 2015 from 6:30pm to
midnight.
Special Guest is former St Kilda and Brisbane Lions football star and NT Thunder Coach, Xavier Clarke.
The committee aim to raise $50,000 for White Ribbon and contribute to ensuring the safety of
women and children in the Northern Territory.
Objectives




To promote Territory businesses that support this initiative.
To raise $50,000 for White Ribbon and the Territory’s own ‘No More’ campaign
To increase awareness of White Ribbon and its key messages
To obtain extensive media promotions for the event
