All students are assessed on both EEs, at levels of complexity that target the student. – Focus: Testing initialization into the map using data from the pilot; testing paths within the map; assessing opportunity to learn. • Field Test 2: March 17th – April 11th – Five to ten Essential Elements assessed per grade and content area. Each student is assessed on two EEs per content area, at levels of complexity that target the student. – Focus: Testing first version of dynamic routing from one testlet to the next; trying new interface for teachers to select testlets from a limited range of options; offering first version of a report for teachers. • Field Test 3: May 1st – end of academic year – Five to ten Essential Elements assessed per grade and content area. Each student assessed on two EEs per content area, at levels of complexity that target the student. – Focus: Trying new function that allows the teacher to adjust a recommendation made by the system; offering a usage report for teachers. 7
