Watering Restrictions
Landscape watering is currently limited to 3 days/week in the City
of LA. Watering with sprinklers is limited to one cycle of up to 8
minutes per station for non-conserving nozzle sprinkler systems,
or two 15-minute cycles per watering day for conserving nozzle

Turf Removal Program
Replace your turf grass with CA Friendly® plants, mulch, and permeable pathways. Must get
pre-approval of application
before starting project.
Funding has been exhausted in many areas, however, DWP is still
offering turf removal rebates.

Use Trees to Save Water
FREE Trees from City Plants
City of Los Angeles residents can get 7 free shade trees delivered to their doors. Businesses can request shade trees too and
may be eligible to receive even larger quantities. City Plants also holds tree giveaway events around the City where residents can learn about and pick up a free shade or fruit tree.
If you agree to water parkway trees in front of your home or business,
City Plants will even do the planting work for you at no charge!
Trees provide benefits in a drought:
•Reduce overall evaporation through creating cooler environments
•Capture storm water for recharging aquifers and reducing flooding
•Shade buildings to reduce cooling demand
