Many test drivers confirm positive cyfly effect
Mühlhausen, September 22, 2016. Shortly after its successful premiere at
the EUROBIKE 2016, Möve Bikes GmbH has reached another milestone
for its Easy Cycling Technology: the contract for the production of the
cyfly drive has been closed with the local automotive supplier MITEC AG.
Cyfly will be produced in 2017. The innovative bicycle component convinced many test drivers in Friedrichshafen.
In total, 350 people took the opportunity of a test ride in the demo area of EUROBIKE.
For this, eight different bikes with the cyfly drive have been available on all days. 165
subjects participated in the subsequent survey. The result: Every third person prefers
the new mechanical drive system over a conventional pedal crank after a short test
drive. 58 per cent feel cycling with cyfly is "somewhat easier" or even "much easier",
62 per cent feel it is "somewhat faster" or "much faster".
"We are delighted with this result because it has paid off that we have been working
on the feeling of the pedaling," says Tobias Spröte, CEO of Möve Bikes GmbH. "The
positive conclusion of André Greipel is also the driving force for us to continue working
consistently, so that Möve bikes with the cyfly drive will be available soon."
Sprint pro André Greipel took cyfly for a spin with triathlete Henry Beck and described
it as "at lower speeds noticeably power-saving".
