Win an amazing Mercedes A180 at the 2017 Sky Racing Australian Cup Carnival
By entering, you agree to the following terms and conditions of the promotion:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter promotion as part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia & New Zealand over 18
years of age.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Melbourne Greyhound Racing Club,
Employees of GRV Affiliated Clubs, Employees or Board Members of GRV &/or affiliate
companies, are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The promotion commences on Saturday 18 February 2017 @ 18.00pm (gate opening
time) and concludes on Saturday 4 March 2017 at 21.00pm (AEDST), prior to the running
of the Australian Cup, Race 8.
3.2 In order to enter the promotion, entrants must place entry form obtained from the main
entrance gate at the Meadows – 80 Northcorp Blvd, Broadmeadows on Saturday 4 March
2017
In to the barrels located on course at The Meadows – 80 Northcorp Blvd, Broadmeadows.
3.3 Entries must be placed in the marked entry barrel on course at The Meadows During race
meet (AEDST) on Saturday February 18, Saturday February 25 and before 2100pm 4 March
2017.
3.4 Entries will not be taken after this time.
4. PRIZE
4.1 There is one component of the promotion.
All entrants in the go into the draw to win the Hero’s Choice Prize.
4.2 Prize Details:
 Mercedes A180. 17-inch 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels. Sports seats in fabric. Active
parking assist. DAB+ Digital Radio. Keyless start. Reversing camera. Blind spot
assist. Dynamic select. Garmin MAP pilot navigation.
 Holiday Voucher valued at $45,000
4.3 Total prize is valued at or over $50,000. Prize value is based on the recommended retail
price as at 27/1/17. The winner is not entitled to receive any money from any party if there is a
difference between the current prize value as at the date and time of the draw.
4.4 The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. In the
event for any reason the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time
stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and
cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. The Promoter accepts no
responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, the
Promoter may substitute for that prize another item of equal value as determined by the
Promoter, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where
required. Winner should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that
may arise from the prize winning.
4.5 Any costs associated with entry to the competition and collection of the prize will be at the
cost of the entrant.
5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 Only fully completed original entry forms will be eligible to win major prize. Copies of entry
forms will not be eligible to win
5.2 Entrants must complete the entry form and place their forms into the barrel. The entry box
that will be located at the front of the Dais area at The Meadows. Entrants are to supply their
correct contact details on the entry form in accordance with these terms and conditions to be
considered an eligible entry.
5.3 Entrants can only place one entry into the promotion per night. Total of 3 entries possible
over the 3 week period.
5.4 The Major Prize is a Mercedes A180 Car. Valued at or over $50,000. From The Meadows
Conferences and Events Ventre.
5.6. There can only be one winner, their form will be chosen at random from the barrel by a
guest of the MGRA. This draw will take place prior or following the Australian Cup at
21:00pm on Saturday 4 March 2017 at The Meadows, 80 Northcorp Blvd, Broadmeadows.
5.7 The main draw will take place on the main stage Dais following the running of the
Australian Cup. The winner does not have to be on course to win the prize.
5.8 The winner of the prize will be announced over PA system, then followed up by phone
call and notified in writing as soon as practicable after the draw.
5.9 The Promoter's decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence
regarding the result.
5.10 If the prize is not claimed a further prize draw will be conducted at 12.00pm on 1/5/2017
at The Meadows – 80 Northcorp Blvd, Broadmeadows.
5.11 In accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all
editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and
photographed. The winner (and their companions) agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual
and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and
the winner (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the promotion on the dates and in
the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism,
power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the
Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the promotion and recommence it from the
start on the same conditions.
6.2 The Meadows and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for
prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 The Meadows and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any
misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that my occur :
a) during the draw;
b) in the participation in the promotion;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail or telephone malfunction;
d) in relation to failure of an entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical
problems or traffic congestion;
e) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction related to or resulting from
participation in this promotion.
6.4 If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to causes
including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or
any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration
security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the
right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take
any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
7. PROMOTER'S DETAILS
7.1 The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Club (ABN #:52 004 347 685) 80 Northcorp Blvd,
Broadmeadows, Victoria.
7.2 The Meadows and its related entities is collecting the entrant’s personal information via
this promotion and, unless entrants elect to opt out, for the purpose of sending them
promotional and direct marketing material in relation to upcoming promotions and relevant
product information. The entrant may request access to his or her personal information by
writing to Privacy Officer, The Meadows – 80 Northcorp Blvd, Broadmeadows.
