Field Trip to Charlton Park
Thank you to our students, bus
driver, and chaperones for a
successful field trip. Students did a
wonderful job participating in the
activities, such as candlemaking,
soup and butter making, and touring
the village and museum. We all
learned so much more about early
Michigan from the well-informed
volunteers at the park.
End of Year Testing
Our district testing is complete,
except for a few make-up tests for
absent students. On May 10, 16, and
18, we will be taking our state MSTEP tests. Please remember to
encourage plenty of rest and doing
one’s personal best each day.
Project ACES
On May 10, we will participate in the
annual All Children Exercise
Simultaniously project. From 1010:15 we will be exercising in a
variety of ways. Please remember to
dress in comfortable clothing and
wear tennis shoes.
Third Grade Picnic
On Friday, June 2nd from 11:30-12:45,
our third grade team will be having a
picnic for our students and their
parents. A form was sent home
today with more details about our
picnic. Please return the bottom
portion by May 26, if you would like
to attend and bring a side dish.
Book Order
I am extending the date for Scholastic
book orders to Monday, May 8. You
can order online or send in a check or
cash with your order. These books
will be great for promoting reading
during the summer months.
